Had booked this hotel for a pre and post vacation trip. Booked our pre vacation visit via Expedia and the post direct with IHG. We were bumped on our first visit and arrived at the hotel with no room. Because it was Expedia they put the rebooking on them. Because we were travelling we did not get any communication re the overbooking. After about an hour with Expedia they booked us into the Even Hotel one block down. This was an IHG hotel!. The Staybridge could have done this, On our return back to Miami the booking went OK. Room was mediocre. 2star at best. Aircraft noise was a problem. Breakfast was OK . Trip back to car hire was a disaster. After being told the shuttle would drop us at the car hire centre it took us to the airport where we had to find our own way back to the car hire centre via the shuttle. We could have walked from the hotel quicker. Would I book here again…No

Adequate place to sleep between a late arriving flight and a cruise departing the following day. The room was clean, if in need of a redo. Air conditioning barely worked and silly things were missing, like Kleenex. Staff at breakfast worked hard to replenish the buffet and were very nice.

We called the hotel and asked for a shuttle and where we should catch the shuttle, we waited there but the shuttle never came, we talked to them multiple times and told them where we were told to meet the shuttle and they insisted the shuttle was there and come to find out they told us to wait in the wrong place. We ended up paying for a taxi cause we were tired of waiting. The front desk staff needs more training. When we checked in the guy at the front desk was brand new and they left him alone and he did not give us the correct info about the hotel. Our room was nice except for the fabric stains on the chair, this really is unacceptable cause this can be fixed and should be checked regularly. The breakfast was plentiful but the hot items weren’t good, sausage looked barely cooked and the cheese omelet didn’t taste good. At the front desk Isaiah was in the process of holding my luggage for me and before he was finished with me he then started to help a lady that rushed up and said she needed her luggage to get to the airport right away, she should have been told that there is a line of people waiting and that she would need to get in line. I asked him why he couldn’t finish up with me first and what about the people waiting in line, and then he wouldn’t speak to me anymore. This is just not right and I expect more from IHG hotels especially from Staybridge. Also the lady that was in such a hurry to get to the airport sat with her luggage in the waiting area and didn’t appear to be in such a rush afterall? When we went to collect our luggage at the front desk another girl (failed to get her name) did the same thing, in the middle of helping me she started helping someone else before finishing up with me, I find this to be a very frustrating practice and it should be rectified, this really doesn’t make sense with 3 front desk agents there to help other guests? The only reason I gave this hotel an average rating was because of the shuttle driver that took us to the airport: Evelio! He deserves the highest rating possible but I felt with all the problems we experienced here it wasn’t fair to warrant this hotel with an excellent rating, but he needs to be recognized for the excellent service he provided us. He is the best employee I have ever seen in any hotel I have been to and I have traveled all over the world. He made us feel so welcome and should be the trainer for the employees here cause they could surely benefit from his knowledge and the attitude he possesses. This man is the biggest asset this hotel has and he should be promoted, I just can’t express how wonderful he was. Evelio was the only employee here that treated us with respect and kindness. This man knows the true meaning of customer service. Evelio turned our least favorite experience at our favorite hotel chain: Staybridge, into a memory that will be hard to forget because of his efforts and his philosophy on the true meaning of hospitality. We want to personally thank him and tell him what a pleasure it was to meet him, just wish we could say that about the others here.

This place is very dated and thoroughly average. The price was reasonable and it was okay for a one night stay. The units all have a kitchenette, which was nice. There are few if any restaurants close by, so I had to order expensive takeout for dinner. The free breakfast buffet was limited and just barely okay, and don’t get me on the paper plates and plastic utensils. So cheap. Keep in mind you are under some flight paths, but the noise wasn’t too bad. I definitely won’t be returning to this property, as there are many much better options in Miami.

Phenomenal stay! Room was modern, the staff was extremely friendly and quick to assist. Shuttle service was on point and quick and easy. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with an early flight. Will return soon.
